Councillor - Women's Equality

Being a Councillor

Being a Councillor

We want more women in public office, with equal representation in all areas we can get on with the business of creating an equal Britain.

Are you interested in standing as a Councillor? Do you want to know what this role involves? Then look no further!

We are hosting a Q & A evening with former Councillor, Ishbel Brown.

We will find out what the role of being a councillor entails and the great work that can be achieved.

How much time do Councillors devote to their responsibilities with the Local Authority?

What are the typical responsibilities taken on by those elected as Councillors?

What are the highs and lows?

Our Branch Leader, Laura will begin the evening interviewing Ishbel. There will be the opportunity for the audience to ask their own questions too.

We look forward to seeing you there.
