Following a number of great discussions with members around the county we are delighted to be organising an event to focus on Feminism and Faith. We have invited a number of members to speak about their experiences as feminists within different faiths including Julie Siddiqi of Nisa-Nashim - an organisations which aims to bring communities together and promote ways in which Jewish and Muslim women can understand that their similarities are greater than their differences.
Come and meet the other wonderful branch members and supporters from the Milton Keynes Branch. This will be our first meet-up in the east of our area, and WE're really excited to get to know everyone in and around Bedford. We'll be building on the debate and celebration of the Equaliteas events, marking 90 years since the Equal Representation of the People Act 1928, which gave men and women over the age of 21 the equal right to vote, and introducing our Objectives Champions. Anyone wanting to get more involved in achieving Equality locally or nationally, whether you've got big ideas or an hour a month, come and find out more. WE'd love to see you there.
All welcome, please come along!
We will meet on the first floor of the Opera House from 8pm, hope to see you there.
Join us for some political chat in a relaxed environment.
