Call on the British Fashion Council

Call on the British Fashion Council

WE are calling on the British Fashion Council to bring about healthier presentations of body-image in the fashion industry.

WE want commitment from the British Fashion Council to ensure fashion designers showing at London Fashion Week show 2 different sample sizes in every range, one of which must be a UK size 12 and above.

Modelling agencies should not be asking models to lose dangerous amounts of weight. One major reason this happens is because designers churn out sample sizes so small that models have to starve themselves to fit into them.

Not only is this harmful to the women and men involved in modelling, the negative impact this has on wider perceptions of body-image, in particularly women and girls, is well documented. This has to stop.

Take action now!
