Here is a bit of info about The Feminist Library's Summer Benefit:

Our feminist Fayre returns for another year! This is a highlight in our calendar, packed full of fabulous feminist fun. Save the date and say goodbye to the summer in feminist style with your friends and the Feminist Library team!

It will be a packed evening, with feminist stalls, badge making corner, feminist books and zines, vulva cupcakes in the kitchen, poetry, standup and music performances, wine and feminist cocktails – and just a great excuse to get together with your feminist family! 

Opening the evening will be our feminist marketplace - join us in vulva cupcakes and badge making and grab a feminist cocktail, while you browse the stalls and get your feminist shopping for the rest of the year done. Stalls confirmed so far: Burnt Roti, Booklove, Feminist Library Bookshop, with more to be announced soon.  

Opening the entertainment part of the night will be spoken word poets, Leah Thorn and friends. Leah is the founder of Older Women Rock! and 26-years a spoken word poet. She will also be sharing with us a couple of short feminist films.  

Next up you will be entertained by a bit of standup. Laugh through the Saturday night with feminist comedy - pure fun. Act to be confirmed.

The last act of the night will be Shannon Smy of Seize the Day, with a beautiful acoustic set of music. Shannon's music is inspired by her activism and the women in her life, and is a feast for the soul.

MC'ing and keeping you entertained through the night will be Library's own Gail Chester. Stay with us until late evening hours, listening to feminist music and enjoying feminist cocktails!
