Happy Holidays & Thank You

Dear all,

Can you believe at the start of the year we didn’t even have a branch?

There’s a lot we can’t believe when reflecting on 2017 but instead of focusing on all the negative events that have directly impacted equality here in the UK and worldwide, let’s not forget that in the middle of all of this chaos, we started our Tower Hamlets branch and that the Women’s Equality Party has made significant impact.

I’ve been so impressed with the passion and can-do attitude of all our members and supporters who have thrown themselves into campaigning, researching, fundraising, communicating and brainstorming! We really are doing politics differently and I’m so excited to see what 2018 brings.

A huge thank you to Anna, Chloe and Wanda for working so hard, passionately and with such great humour to establish our fantastic branch. Remember our shock and excitement when we were thrown into a general election shortly after our first branch meeting?

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Hadrian, Sara, Laura, Ninette and Selina who have recently taken over as branch office bearers and quickly got to work campaigning, marching and impressively planning for 2018.

Thank you for engaging with us on social media, for coming to meetings, for volunteering your time at campaign events and for your feedback. Great change can come when we work together at the grass roots, in our local communities and next year there’s going to be a lot for us to do!
