Tower Hamlets Branch Meeting - 7th Nov 2017

WE Tower Hamlets are holding our first branch elections - Come and meet our fantastic candidates!

Please note only WEP members can vote, but we’ll also be discussing the latest WEP campaigns, 2018 meetings and ways you can get involved in the party and local activism.

All welcome - simply RSVP below so we can make sure there's room and you're informed of any changes.

 

Branch Roles & Candidates

 

Role: Main point of contact for central office, work closely with Comms Lead, Data Managers, Treasurer and Branch Coordinator to co-ordinate smooth running of branch.

Candidate: Jessie Macneil-Brown - Current branch leader and founder of the branch. Works in corporate responsibility for a large international business, has led global campaigns on women’s rights in the past and a proud Tower Hamlets resident for the past 12 years.

 

Role: Administrators of branch member database on Nation Builder, ‘point person’ for all branch members and supporters, data analysis for outreach and campaigning.

Candidates:

Hadrian Holloway - In my short time here, the branch has made me feel extremely welcome, and if I can help it would be a pleasure. For me, being a feminist and being a man should not be mutually exclusive. I hope that it will not always be a battle to get men to do the right thing, and that in time, equality will just be the norm. Until then, I hope that I can help.

Sara Hurley - New to the branch and keen to get involved. Come to the meeting to hear more from Sara.

Ninette Meyer - I’m new to the branch and want to get involved! I am an Actuary working in a Risk role in insurance, and I have experience of bookkeeping and secretarial work.

 

Role: Manage social media (Facebook & Twitter) in line with central office guidance maintaining WE voice. Leading on online campaigning, keeping members regularly updated of WE and Tower Hamlets issues. Sparking debate!

Candidate: Selina Purcell - I'm really keen to have more of an active role in the development of the Tower Hamlets branch. I'm really passionate about the party's objectives and have really enjoyed getting involved so far. 

 

Role: Account keeping, final decision on spending of funds, compliance (Electoral Commission, central office), risk assessments.

Candidates:

Laura Matthews - New to the branch and keen to get involved

Ninette Meyer - I’m new to the branch and want to get involved! I am an Actuary working in a Risk role in insurance, and I have experience of bookkeeping and secretarial work.

 

  • Branch Coordinator

Role: Responsible for branch calendar of meetings & get-togethers – including meeting invites, notes and actions, and distribution to members and supporters.

Candidate: Ninette Meyer - I’m new to the branch and want to get involved! I am an Actuary working in a Risk role in insurance, and I have experience of bookkeeping and secretarial work.
