As long as we have a society with luke warm attitudes to domestic violence and sexual abuse we have a big problem. I doubt we will ever stop some men from being predatory but we can certainly change the cultures and structures that enable them to abuse without consequence. Women are rendered vulnerable by lack of earning/borrowing power, childcare, mobility, gendered notions of womanhood and a wide range of intersecting oppressions. Without a women's equality party electoral promises to women are just bribes for the female vote.
