About the Women's Equality Party Hackney

We’re one of the original WE branches and a strong force in the party. Since 2017, WE have stood in Hackney local and by-elections, and have been critical in putting issues such as childcare and violence against women on the political agenda in Hackney.

WE campaign on local gender equality issues and support our sister branches across London and the UK in their campaigns. WE also hold regular branch meetings with the branch leadership team and members, and host a range of regular events to engage, inform and inspire.

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner, new to politics or looking for a way to help bring equality to Hackney, we'd love you to join us!

In May 2022, WE are standing in local elections. We will release details of candidates soon.
