Preparing to Win!

Whilst a large part of the country has entered a period of local election fever, it will be 2023 before it is our turn in Cheshire East.

Meet our fabulous 2022 WE candidates from across the country!

It is never too early however to start preparations so we are already getting ready for next year by checking the accuracy of our member and volunteer database, in which you may have previously expressed an interest in being a branch volunteer.

WOMEN WHO WON

We hope you have been having a great summer! We’ve mostly been having a break ourselves with some ideas and activism bubbling in the background.

Taking Action is Empowering

There is so much inequality and difficult news to deal with in our daily lives that it could be easy to feel powerless, but our Monday Motivation showed us how collective efforts can highlight an issue and become the means to make change.

Let's win local elections for Equality

Hello Friend

National politics can often seem like nothing to do with us, and we may feel helpless in being able to make change, but as a valued Member you can apply to become a representative of the Women’s Equality Party as a Parish, Town or County Councillor.

Celebrating Women

Dear Friend

It seems weird to be happy about anything when there is so much going on in the world at the moment, but in these dark days WE are taking every opportunity when we can.

We had a lovely time in Crewe for International Women’s Day

Equality is better for Everyone!

Dear Friend

Our fight for equality is because we truly believe that equality is better for everyone.  That's why WE are proud to celebrate International Men's Day on Wednesday 17th November with contributions from male supporters of the Women's Equality Party and a White Ribbon Ambassador.

End Sexism in Schools

Hello Friend

Ending Sexism in Schools

Well WE had a great if feisty start to the New Year with our January branch meeting talking about the gender balance of English teaching in schools.

Make Votes Matter

Thank you very much for attending and participating in our Make Votes Matter event to hear about the cross-party campaign for Proportional Representation.

It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and we hope you found the discussion as useful as we did! It certainly looks like we generated sufficient interest for an MVM Cheshire group.

Crewe International Women's Day

WE’re back in Crewe - come and say Hi!

WE have a table at the Crewe International Women’s Day celebration on Saturday. We’re really looking forward to seeing you - it's a fabulous event with plenty of stalls and activities so do come along!
