Join Harini Iyengar, WEP GLA Candidate 2021, and a special guest online for a feminist fundraising cookalong.
Each week a guest will guide Harini through cooking a delicious, affordable and easy to follow recipe whilst discussing why they chose the recipe, and why cooking and nurturing yourself with good food is a feminist act.
GRAND FINALE:
Friday 9th April 6-7pm - Bake Off star Briony May Williams!
For the final event before the May elections, Harini will be joined by Briony May Williams.
After years of baking at home and cultivating her creativity and skill, Briony first came to the public’s attention as she launched onto our screens during nine stressful weeks in the tent on the 2018 series of The Great British Bake Off. Progressing through the competition to the semi-final, Briony’s humour and warmth, coupled with her resilience and ingenuity saw her become a firm favourite with the audience. Since then, Briony has joined the presenting team of Food Unwrapped (Channel 4). Her other credits include The Great Christmas Bake Off (Channel 4), which she won, Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Loose Women (ITV), The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice (Channel 4), The Steph Show (Channel 4), How To Spend It Well At Christmas (ITV), Beautiful Bakes With Juliet Sear (ITV) and The Jeremy Vine Show (BBC Radio 2).
Briony has had a regular recipe column in Asda’s Good Living and Bristol Life magazines and has been featured in Hello! magazine.
