WE will be attending the market in Mold to speak to local people about the conduct of their MP, Rob Roberts, and offer them the opportunity to sign petition demanding the opportunity to recall him.
Earlier this year, Rob Roberts, the MP for Delyn, was suspended from Parliament for sexually harassing a staffer. This was the second accusation of sexual misconduct in less than a year. The independent panel found he had breached Parliament’s sexual misconduct policy, but there is still no way for voters to sack him as an MP. So he can continue to employ staff, debate and vote on law - including sexual harassment law, and be paid by the taxpayer.
Constituents have the power to sack MPs for misuse of Commons stationery, but not MPs like Rob Roberts who have abused their power to sexually harass people. The law must be changed, and Rob Roberts must face a recall petition - just like he could be if he misused stationery.
Please join us so that we can speak to more people and send a clear message to Rob Roberts and the government. Don’t let the government protect a sexual harasser - demand the right to sack Rob Roberts MP.
