Enfield branch elections May 17 - Women's Equality

Enfield branch meeting May 17

Enfield branch meeting May 17

Exciting times! Since our last branch meeting, the country is now suddenly in General Election (GE) mode.

The WE has announced several more candidates who will be contesting the GE, the nearest of which to us is Nimco Ali in the Hornsey and Wood Green (HWG) constituency.

We are postponing our branch elections (which were going to happen on 6 May) so that we can put all our General Election campaigning efforts behind Nimco’s campaign in HWG and/or that of WE candidates in other constituencies.

At this meeting we will focus on how WE Enfield can help the HWG election team and other branches, so please do come along and offer your support at this very exciting time in the WE’s short life!

WE have a very real chance of getting some MP’s elected on 8 June, and wouldn’t it be amazing to be a part of that?!

THEN, SAVE THE DATE: In terms of next steps for our Enfield branch after the GE, we will hold our branch officer elections on Saturday 17th June (not first Saturday of the month this time, due to various holiday commitments).

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, 6 May, 2.30-5 pm at Palmers Green Library.

NB - We will be making a collection to cover room hire at each of our meetings.
