The Women’s Equality Party will put sex and gender at the centre of healthcare policy for the first time and thereby create a health system that sees and celebrates women - supporting healthier outcomes all round. 

Women live longer than men, are more likely to spend more of their lives in ill health, more likely to develop dementia and also to care for people with dementia.

Women are the backbone of our National Health Service, making up over three-quarters of the workforce but less than half of executive directors.
