The Women’s Equality Party will put sex and gender at the centre of healthcare policy for the first time and thereby create a health system that sees and celebrates women - supporting healthier outcomes all round. 

Too often, women face discrimination, judgement or embarrassment about female biology, women's sexuality, and women's specific sexual and reproductive health needs. Maternity care in the UK is failing women despite a history of reports, reviews and evidence for woman-centred care, reductions in medical interventions, increased support for breastfeeding and continuity of midwifery care.
