GLA phonebank - Women's Equality

GLA phonebank - Wednesday 24 March

GLA phonebank - Wednesday 24 March

Give few hours of your time to make a huge difference.

This London elections are a key campaign for the Women's Equality Party and we're fighting to win an important seat on the London Assembly - the elected body which holds the Mayor of London to account - as well as running for Mayor ourselves. Our voice and our message has never been more crucial: as we begin to recover from COVID and from Brexit we must ensure that we Build Back Equal. COVID was the great revealer of inequality in our society and it is vital that women and minority groups are not forgotten in the recovery period.

At these phonebanks you will be calling supporters who, like you, want to shake up politics and make change happen and voters to persuade them to vote for us. By giving your time, you'll be able to make a massive difference to our campaign by canvassing voters and asking volunteers like you to sign up to get involved in the campaign.

Things you need to know:

☕ Make sure you have tea and snacks on hand as calling is thirsty work!

📱 Bring your phone - only if you have enough minutes and are happy to do so. We’ll help you turn caller ID off so your number won’t be shared.

😰 If you have never done a phonebank before, or feel nervous about calling strangers, be reassured that we will provide full training at the start and call scripts, and answer all your questions before you start calling.

💻 You'll need your computer/device so we can connect to each other on zoom for the training and to get support as we go along. Staff and senior volunteers will be there to help and support.

🎉 There's a lot to celebrate! Voter targets, best calls and most successful - although we can't all get together this will be a social event where you can connect with other volunteers.
