Is Climate Change a Feminist Issue?

Is Climate Change a Feminist Issue?

Climate change and gender equality are two of the greatest challenges of our  time. Yet, we hardly ever hear them talked about in the same sentence. WE think it's time to change that.

Hosted by the Women’s Equality Party, this event will bring together leading experts and activists across civil society, academia and policy sectors to discuss the timely question: Is climate change a feminist issue?

Our speakers will include the Women's Environmental Network; Extinction Rebellion; Mothers Rise Up; Black Environment Network; and the Women's Equality Party.

We’ll be asking all the hard (and interesting!) questions such as: Who does climate change affect the most? What are the links between consumerism, patriarchy and climate change? What is environmental racism, and why should feminists be talking about it? What would a feminist solution to the climate crisis look like?

Tickets are £7 / £5 concession, and available from Eventbrite here. Hurry before they sell out! All proceeds will go towards supporting WEP in the General London Assembly elections in 2020.

WE look forward to seeing you for a thought-provoking and inspiring evening.
