Led by Hadrian Holloway, one of our panelists in our event on how men can be better allies in the fight for equality, this group is open to all men who would like to explore their role in the wider feminist movement, who don’t know how & who would like to figure this out, with the help and support of other men.
It is for men who acknowledge that misogyny, and the bi-products of misogyny (lack of representation, health inequalities, the gender pay gap, male violence against women, including sexual violence & domestic abuse to name just a few) still exist in our society and that there is more we can all do to continue to make progress. It is also a place for us to talk about how gender inequalities & some parts of masculinity can cut both ways to affect men as well.
The group will be:
- Inclusive, all are welcome
- Non-judgemental, this is a space for learning, not shutting people down
- Solution focussed, the problem exists and men can help
The first meeting will be a chance to get to know each other, decide how often we meet, what topics we want to start with & to introduce everyone to some great resources we already have available.
The idea is that this is simply the start of a conversation, a way for like-minded guys to network, learn, and support each other.
