I want to live in a country that values men and women equally. - Jody Southam's suggestion

I want to live in a country that values men and women equally.

I want to live in a country that values men and women equally.

I am the daughter of a single mother, who is the daughter of a single mother. They're two of the strongest people I know, and I want to live in a country where women with that kind of strength are applauded and not ridiculed, rewarded and not punished. I want to live in a country where I can go home late at night, drunk with a short skirt on and get home safely. I want to live in a country that questions the morals of the attacker and not the woman that was attacked. I want live in a country where I have the same opportunities as the person next me, no matter what. But mostly I just want to live in a country where theses issues aren't issues.
