WEP Leeds Branch 'Culture Club'

Leeds Branch of the Women's Equality Party will be holding the next in our series of 'Culture Club', our regular book and film discussion group, on Thursday 15 April 2021 at 7:30pm online via Zoom.

Our book of the evening is The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, sequel to The Handmaid's Tale.

"The Republic of Gilead is beginning to rot from within. At this crucial moment, two girls with radically different experiences of the regime come face to face with the legendary, ruthless Aunt Lydia. But how far will each go for what she believes?"

We will also be discussing the film Dreamgirls, available on Netflix.

If you would like to read ahead, May's book is Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People About Race, by Reni Eddo-Lodge.

You are welcome to join us, whether or not you have read the book or watched the film.
