Leeds Branch of the Women's Equality Party will be holding the next in our series of 'Culture Club', our regular book and film discussion group, on Monday 7th February 2022 at 7.30pm online via Zoom. 

This month WE are reading 'The Descent of Man' by Grayson Perry 

'I hope that in picking up this book you have already acknowledged that masculinity needs to be questioned, that gender inequality is a huge issue for all of us and that the world would be a better place without it. What I hope this small book might do is bring awareness of masculinity to more people – awareness being a step towards change… to change the whole world for the better.' - Grayson Perry

We are also watching the film Pride, inspired by the extraordinary true story of a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984.
