Our next meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 12th December at the White Hart in Lewes. If you can't make it for 7.30, but could get there slightly later, please come, you'll still be most welcome.
At our first meeting, it was agreed that we would begin with a focus on Equal Pay - inspired by the Unlock The Gate campaign, and the recent report by the Fawcett Society that at the current rate of progress, it will take 100 years to close the gender pay gap. This will also tie in with the theme of 2018 International Women's Day which is the gender pay gap.
We also started to look towards next year, as it is the centenary of the Representation of the People Act. There will be plenty to celebrate but also a great platform to raise questions about inequalities that remain in our country.
