Join us in reclaiming our green spaces, as we walk together from Ryebank Fields through Longford Park and Turn Moss Fields to Stretford Public Hall for a candle lit vigil for murdered women at 7:30 pm, followed by poetry, live music and dancing.

Women are invited to meet with the Women of Ryebank Fields at 6:15 pm at the main entrance to Ryebank Fields for a 6:30 departure.

The start point is M21 9WW - the corner of Ryebank Road and Longford Road, Chorlton.
Walking 'buses' will leave the Hall at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm to return to the start point of the walk.

Prepare for the weather and uneven ground.  Torches are recommended!  The walk will last approximately 1 hour.

Dogs (on a lead) are welcome on the walk but not in the Hall.

Women who don't join the walk are welcome to meet us at Stretford Public Hall at 7:15 pm for the vigil for women murdered in 2020, after which we will be taking our places in the Hall’s beautiful ballroom for poetry by Ayako, music by the Poppycock Band and Sarah Higham, and dancing led by Egyptian dance group, Mazazik. The bar will be open and our now infamous Equality Tombola will be available (2 tickets for a fiver) plus displays by Chorlton Craftivists.

Please take a lateral flow test before joining this event and bring a mask to wear indoors, and maybe a change of shoes.
