We’re meant to be a “global leader”. Yet our childcare system is the second most expensive in the world, thanks to years of underfunding from the Government, with full-time care for a toddler costing 48% of the average wage.

Timid government responses aren’t enough to scare childcare costs away

The Conservatives have promised a childcare announcement “imminently”. But it’s yet to materialise.
