Monday 11 February 18:15
Forest Gate Community Neighbourhood Centre, E7 0QH
The borough of Newham has it's first solo branch meeting of Women's Equality Party members and supporters in February 2019.
My name is Eleanor and I am currently the Data Manager for the combined Waltham Forest and Newham branch of the Women's Equality Party. I've been a party member since 2016 and have been living in Newham for around 5 years. I feel it is now time for Newham borough to be fully represented and to work alongside the Waltham Forest branch in the east of London to promote our party.
If you live in or near Newham it's time to act. This first meeting will be to get to know each other and talk about forming our branch. We'll discuss the branch roles, what we want to achieve and what's happening in the borough. This is an open and inclusive space and a real opportunity to represent our borough at a fascinating time.
The Forest Gate Community Neighbourhood Centre is attached to the library on Woodgrange Road and you can get there via the 25, 425 or 86 bus towards Ilford and Romford from Stratford station or it is a short walk from either Stratford town centre (20-30 minutes) or from Forest Gate TFL rail station and Woodgrange Park Overground station (10 minutes).
When arriving please speak to the team on the information desk and they will direct you to our room. Our room is on the ground floor and is accessible with accessible toilets nearby also. We are welcome to bring our own refreshments. The centre team is very happy to be hosting our first meeting; more information about our venue can be found here!
Space is limited to 35 so please RSVP if you intend to come along and cancel your place if you can no longer make it.
There are so many exciting people, places and things happening in Newham, it's a great time to represent them, support them and shout them from the roof tops.
