The Women's Equality Party North Essex branch is meeting on Wednesday (16th) from 7-9pm at Firstsite (in the restaurant area). For branch members we will start with a closed meeting from 7pm - 7:30pm and then from 7:30 onwards all are welcome to help us explore activism and community engagement.
We have a panel of pro-active women who will share their experiences, the obstacles they have overcome and the impact their involvement has had to both them and the wider community.
This will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions to the panel if you are considering getting active within your community...
Introducing our panel:
Sarah Walsh - is the Chair of the Trustee Board for Colchester Citizens Advice and sits on the Board for the Night Shelter.
Sarah-Jayne Sieg - is the Liaison Office, and past President, of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) Essex Division.
Dr Tracey Loughran - is a Deputy Dean at the University of Essex and is the lead on a Wellcome Trust Project on the history of women's health in the UK between the 1960s and the 1990s.
We do hope that you can make it and please do bring along your friends and family!
