A People's vote for Brexit
As December’s ‘meaningful vote’ on Theresa May’s proposed Brexit deals looms closer, it’s clearer than ever that we need a People’s Vote.
At our own Conference in September we passed a resolution calling for "any deal with the EU - or, absent any deal, any unilateral Brexit plan - to be subject to a meaningful parliamentary assessment and vote or, failing guarantees of such a process, a People’s Vote, with an option to Remain"

On Wednesday 28th November, Southwark Lib Dems are also bringing a motion to the Council calling for a People’s Vote. WE will be writing to our local councillors to support this motion and you can also do so here: https://www.writetothem.com/

WE will also be collaborating with the Lib Dems to hold a rally outside Southwark Council’s offices on 160 Tooley Street at 6.30pm on Wednesday 28th November. Join us and help put pressure on the Council to hold a People’s Vote! Look out for our banner!
Greater London Authority 2020: Join our 5 December Campaign Meeting
On 7 May 2020 London will elect a new Mayor and 25 London Assembly Members.
The 2016 mayoral election was the Women’s Equality Party’s first election campaign - and we did amazingly for a party less than a year old! We only missed out on getting a WEP member elected onto the London Assembly by a couple of percentage points.
Four years on, we will have a real chance to get WEP onto the Assembly - so have a read of our blog for all the information you need as we are already looking for candidates and campaign team volunteers!
WEP Southwark Christmas Fundraiser

Are you biased?
How we treat others might be directly related with what we unconsciously relate to them. Your willingness to examine your own possible hidden or unconscious biases is an important step in understanding the roots of stereotypes and prejudice in our society, and help you act on them.
Following Black History month, WE decided to examine ourselves in search of these biases, and now we invite you to do the same.
We have chosen Project Implicit from Harvard, which measures how biased you are in terms of sex, race, skin colour, age and weight. You can take the test here.
