Scotland 2016 Manifesto Launch: Be There! - Women's Equality

Manifesto Launch: Be There!

Manifesto Launch: Be There!

WE are excited to be launching our Scotland 2016 Manifesto on Saturday 2nd April. WE hope you can join us to celebrate!

Did you know Edinburgh has more statues of animals than women? To launch our manifesto, WE will go on an Unsung Women's Cavalcade through the city, celebrating women who go unrecognised in Scottish public life. At the same time, WE will share details of ouur practical policies to make Scotland the first gender equal country in the world.

Starting at 11am in East Princes Street Gardens, WE will spend a few hours walking through Edinburgh's Old Town, finishing up at the Scottish Parliament in Holyrood. Along the way, WE will stop at places where women have already made history. WE will hear first-hand from our candidates about how our manifesto will make women's equality a reality - in some of Edinburgh's famous financial institutions, media headquarters, courts and, of course, the Parliament itself.

Please do come along to show your support - it will be a fun day out for everyone! Sign up on Facebook, or email [email protected] for more information.

WE will also be out and about canvassing between now and 5 May. Our first outing is on 28th March, 6.30pm at Jeelie Piece in Tollcross. To get involved on this, or future dates, please sign up online.

If social media is more your thing, then please look out for our #WEChat sessions on Twitter every Wednesday, 9pm - 10pm. Each week WE discuss a different topic - this week, it's equal enterprise and equal pay. It's a great chance to chat to our candidates, and to spread the word about your experiences and our policies.

As always, WE are very grateful to all of our volunteers, including our branch committee, for all of their hard work supporting our campaign.
