What Women What 2.0 Outreach

The Women’s Equality Hammersmith and Fulham branch is happy to announce the next outreach event for the ‘What Women Want 2.0’ campaign.

What is the campaign about ?

WE are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ‘What women want 2.0’ survey which first launched in 1996 when The Women’s Communication Centre distributed postcards across the UK, asking women the simple question, ‘What do you want?’.

The answers provided remarkable  insights  into women’s thoughts, opinions and needs which had a significant impact on gender debate, changed the political landscape and policy agenda, and fed into the equalities legislation. We want to make that change again!

What will we be doing?

We will be asking women around the Hammersmith and Fulham area, ‘what do you want?’  and feeding the answers back to head office in order from them to collate the information and use it to shape the UK next steps post-EU election.

Training will be provided on the day by the canvassing captain. This will entail a discussion of what will happen on the day and  a guide of what to say.

The day will also include a  post - canvass debrief where we talk about how the day went, and future events.

For this outreach WE will be meeting up just outside Shepherd's Bush Underground Station.
