Our party Leader, Mandu Reid began maternity leave in November 2023. The Steering Committee agreed plans to ensure cover whilst Mandu is on leave.

As one of the party’s key spokespeople in addition to the Leader, party co-founder and President, Catherine Mayer has stepped up to become the Party’s lead spokesperson during Mandu’s maternity leave.

Mandu and the Steering Committee are both incredibly grateful that Catherine has agreed to take on this additional responsibility and give the party her invaluable support, expertise, and leadership at such a crucial time for our movement and for politics in the UK.

The party’s Deputy Leaders will also substitute for Mandu during her maternity leave. They will act as spokespeople for the party to the media and at events - including member and activist-facing events, and represent the party to donors and potential donors as a vital part of our fundraising team.

WE hope you will join everyone on the Steering Committee in wishing Mandu a huge congratulations and look forward to her return following her maternity leave.
